Understanding Morning Sickness

Morning sickness is an unwelcome but often unavoidable symptom of pregnancy for many women. Though the term "morning sickness" is a bit of a misnomer—it can happen at any time of day—its impact can range from mild nausea to severe vomiting. It's a challenging period, but you don't have to suffer in silence.

Morning sickness is most commonly experienced during the first trimester of pregnancy. It is believed to be related to the increase in hormone levels, although the exact cause is not entirely understood. Generally starting around the sixth week of pregnancy, symptoms can last up to the 16th week or even longer for some women. While it is usually not harmful to you or your baby, severe cases should be evaluated by healthcare professionals.
